It has a high joule rating for protecting your investment. I also bought this for my Samsung LCD and stereo equipment. One thing I learned if you use the cable tv protection you may be unable to use your VOD or even purchase PPV movies because the filter blocks out the cable company data to your tv box. I like the "flat" plug look. It enables the surge protector plug to take less space. Although you may not have this problem i did. I still use this great surge protector.
It is nicely laid out so you can plug everything in easily. I recently purchased this for my brand new Samsung TV, Home Theater, Blu-ray player and other electronic items. Plus it is already labeled for each device. I purchased it because of the color coding plus it was Monster and a great price. Well I saw the same thing at BB and CC and it was over double the price. NICE. And at Amazon's price, it was about the same price as other surge surpressors.
